Oldies but Goodies - Week 15

This little Linky of mine has been going for 15 weeks now - can you believe it?!  Some people dip in and out, some have become serial linkers and others joined in for the first time last week.  I'm grateful to you all for supporting the idea of sharing some of your older posts and building the blogging community in this way.

As I'm sure you'll all agree, a blog post is a craft (well it is for me anyway!), I love putting one together but it  takes time and much shifting around of the old grey matter.  When only 3 people read it, this can be a tad demoralising....hence my reason for starting Oldies but Goodies.

Get to the point will you!!!

Okay, okay, I've decided to drop the linky to only once a month, instead of every week.  The reason?  I am actually struggling to think of a new theme each week that enables most people to join in. I also like to visit all the blogs who have taken the time and effort to link up and this bit is beginning to dominate every weekend as more and more bloggers join in (not that I'm complaining about that!)

So, I propose to host just once a month from now on - the first Friday of every month.  How does that sound?  I will tweet out and remind everyone that #oldiesbutgoodies is coming up, so don't forget to look out.  I hope this works for you all and that you're still keen to get involved.

Back to this week......the theme for today is 'Siblings' - the connection can be loose, even mentioning your children or your own siblings in a post, will do!  If you're new here, the general guidelines are as follows:

1) Link up one or more of your old posts that vaguely fit the theme and could do with some fresh loving!
2) Try to visit as many of the other blogs as you can and remember to come back later in the week to see what's new.
3) If you would like to, please display my badge somewhere on your blog - either at the bottom of the post or in your sidebar.

Happy Friday one and all - see you for more #oldiesbutgoodies on March 2nd!

  1. I love this linky - so nice to dust off a few old posts!

Mine is a very tenuous link...looking at global siblings rather than the family kind.

  4. I love linkys but, you're right, they can be exceptionally time consuming. Good decision in reducing to once a month. I'll try to take part x

  10. that is so funny that you commented that you'd only just found the Sunday Parenting Party. I have only just found your Oldie but Goodie. I actually thought about doing this type of linky a while ago when i first started blogging but i was too green to know how to start one up (plus i couldn't think of a good name). So glad you are doing this, i totally agree that the good stuff should be dusted down and given another opportunity. I haven't got any posts on siblings but will be adding this to my linky page so i don;t forget next month
