Can you believe it's been 25 years?!

Did you realise that today is the 25th anniversary of Comic Relief? Yes, 25 years ago you were donning that first red nose and wondering what it's all about! At the time, I was 16 years old, living a cosy and incredibly sheltered life. Comic Relief brought to our screens, an awareness of what life is like for millions of people not all that far away from us.

Technology has moved on since the days of clunky TV sets with no remote *gasp* and right now, over in Ghana #TeamHonk (aka Mammasaurus, Alexander Residence and Mummy Barrow) are photographing, blogging, tweeting and facebooking the latest news from Ghana - showing the world what 25 years of hard work and amazing donations has achieved.

Here is a postcard that I received from #TeamHonk this morning:

Hello Suzanne!

Here are some photos of the children at a school on the edge of a slum in Accra. They were so excited that they were showing us all sorts of items that they were proud of - toys, hair bands and even a flip flop!
For the past 25 years the money raised through Red Nose Day has been changing the lives of the poorest and most disadvantaged people in the UK and Africa. Let’s Keep Up the Good Work. Find out how at rednoseday.com.
